System requirements

  • ・iPhone and iPod touch with iPhone OS 2.2 or later
  • ・Mac OS X 10.5.5 or later
  • ・Mac with AirPort.

  • Please note that RemoteKey does not support Windows at the moment.

Operating instructions

  • 1. Install [RemoteKey Connect] on the Mac.
  • 2. Make sure the Mac and iPhone are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • 3. Launch the [RemoteKey] function on iPhone.
  • 4. Launch the [RemoteKey Connect] function on the Mac. Choose the iPhone you want to be connected to from the Device Popup Menu and press the [Connect] button.
  • 5. Press the [Make Current Device Default] button to ensure automatic connections to the device.
  • 6. Input text on the [RemoteKey] window on the Mac. Your text is displayed on iPhone.
  • 7. Open the Action Menu on the bottom right. [Send by Mail], [Open by Safari] and [Find by Map] are the displayed selections.

Making a remote connection

  • 1. Choose [Create Network…] from the AirPort status menu on the Mac menu bar. When the [Create a Computer-to-Computer network.] dialog is displayed, press the [OK] button. Leave the channel as [Automatic].

  • 2. Open [Settings] on iPhone and choose [Wi-Fi].
  • 3. Choose the network you established from the [Choose a Network…] list.
  • 4. Close the setting and launch the [RemoteKey] function. Then, you will be able to use the function as you always do.
